As children grow and learn the world of 'make believe' starts to become more and more evident. It is amazing to watch children create their own world with a cardboard box using a simple prop and relying on their imagination. This helps them make sense of their own world and mirror the lessons they have learnt from the relationships children have in their lives. We usually only need provide the necessary encouragement and support, along with the occasional prop/toy to assist in the development of 'make believe' and pretend play.
